New Facebook Page url

Hi all!

I realised this morning that my Facebook studio page url address was still in my maiden name, I've now changed it to be in my married name, this shouldn't cause any issues, but just in case, here's a link to the newly urled page:

Drumroll please.........

CONGRATULATIONS to Drew Maidment and Ella Dixon!!!!!!!

The Fell Mare is now called Night Heather and the foal is called Moonlit Dale.

THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who joined in this annual fun!

Choosing the names from so many great suggestions was very tough! I had well over 600 entries and there were so many I would have been really happy with, but these names just work so well together and once I'd paired them they caught my imagination.... Fell ponies are usually very dark (night) with a small star (the moon or a star)... the foal stands in the light of his mother.... it just works, I hope you agree.  Of course they can be many types of small pony but having this abstract reference to the breed I have based them on seemed quite fitting.

(She could easily have been Heavenly Heather, and he was sooooooo very nearly called Yorkshire Dale...!) :D

After such a tough evening (almost five hours' intense work went into this decision!) I'm off to bed!  Good night all, enjoy the moonlight :)

Fell Mare and Foal Naming Competition!

Hi guys!

I'm going to be completely honest - I'm running out of time so copy/pasted this from Facebook but you can enter on THIS BLOG POST if you would like to and prefer to avoid Facebook.  I'm holding the now-traditional, annual competition to name my latest models; the Fell Mare and Foal:

Here's the bumf on how you can enter - enter by commenting on THIS blog post (or Facebook) only:

Right guys - now, I've met a slight glitch on these two as I have some names in mind for them, however I need help completing their names, so this year's competition is going to be a bit different:

I'm getting you started:
The Mare's name includes the word Heather
The Foal's name includes the word Dale

But I like my models to have two names each (Dancing Daisy, Union Jack, Sweet Lullaby, Fly Fishing etc...), so I'm looking to you to give me names for these that include the words Heather and Dale.

For instance: "Hearty Heather and Dingle Dale"....or "Heather Mist and Dale Dusk" - ok those are bad examples, but your entry MUST include the names Heather and Dale and MUST be exactly two names for each (3+ word name suggestions won't count).  I'm looking for names inspired by the Fell pony breed ideally, but you can try anything that you feel fits.

RULES: You can enter a MAXIMUM of five times for the mare and five times for the foal - all in one comment or in five/ten separate comments, either is fine but after your first five entries for each, no more will count.  You can go back and edit your comment later (before the deadline) if a better idea pops up but you can only have a maximum of five entries total.  I'll be deleting any I see with more than that, so you've been warned!

DEADLINE: It's short (as I have to order their COA cards pronto) so you've got until 7pm TOMORROW!  That's 7pm on Tuesday 19th August - 25 hours from this post, then I'll be choosing a winner.

PRIZES: I have a clean set of these models (worth £73 in total) to give away! The winning entries will receive the model they named, so the mare will go to the person who gave the best mare name and the foal to the best foal name, if you give the best of both, you'll receive them both as prizes.  Postage is NOT included I'm afraid, so please don't enter unless you are happy to pay the postage for them.  As an idea, UK postage will be about £3 and the maximum postage (Australia etc) will be around £5.

The winner(s) will be announced as soon as possible, it may take me a few moments, or a few days to choose so you'll need to watch out for the announcement, it will be posted here and on Facebook, I will do my best to track down the winner(s).

Good luck everyone, I look forward to reading your suggestions! :D
